The University of Granada (UGR) through the Institute of Peace and Conflicts Studies, the Institute for Migration Research, the Women’s and Gender Studies Institute and the Center for Development Cooperation Initiatives (CICODE) works in the fields of migrations, cultural diversity, equality and Human Rights, closely with grassroots CSOs and associations and promoting the civil society participation. Thithe UGR has a Sustainable Development Strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2020-2030. UGR has an extensive experience in organizing conferences, roundtables, trainings and educational activities; it has outstanding spaces prepared for it and a great convening power. CICODE has organized a large number of activities in the field of migration and refugees. Since 2004 the CICODE carries out international volunteer services, volunteer trainings and debate groups targeting to promote democratic and civic participation of UGR students and staff. Since 2016, a Campaign design and activism training is implemented by the CICODE yearly. At the same time, the Solidarity Unit of the UGR promotes local volunteer for social transformation. Since 2013 the CICODE carries out a refugee students, teachers and researches fellowships program in coordination with the Spanish Red Cross. UGR migrant student’s organizations and UGR research groups on migration will be specially invited to participate in project activities.

The Centro de Estudios e Investigación sobre Mujeres (CEIM) was founded in 1998 in Córdoba (Spain) aiming at  promoting research and advocacy on gender equality, social change, Peace, Development and Justice worldwide.  CEIM’s approach is grounded on our commitment to Gender Equity and a rights-based, people-centered approach to  Development and delivers diverse services such as social consulting, research, training, network building and advocacy  on the mentioned issues.

It develops 4 main working areas:

1.- Knowledge Building: disseminating and exchanging information and resources on Gender and Development.

2.- Education and capacity-building. CEIM has collaborated with diverse NGOs, women`s and migrant organizations as  well as agencies.

3.- Social Consulting on Gender, Human and Women`s Rights, and Gender based Violence.

4.- Networking: We actively collaborate with diverse social and feminist networks in the local, regional, national and  global level.

The FFM brings together individual men and women or representatives of associations from different social  backgrounds. Our approach is to sensitize the younger generations to the realities of sexism and racism and to defend  the rights of foreigners as well as to pool the research, skills and resources of associations for common projects. In order  to achive this we hold meetings, conferences, petitions for lobbying, interventions in schools and social centres against  racism and sexism with a kit that we have created as a tool as well as the organization of days of respect and the  structuring of regional, national and international networks to share experiences and to develop common means of  action. Our values include quality, citizenship, solidarity, secularism and universality.

All of our activities are focus on women, especially the most disadvantaged, migrant women, refugee women

Akina Dada Wa Africa Network of Migrant Women in Ireland.

Dublin, IRELAND.

Established in 2001, AkiDwA is a national network of migrant women whom live in Ireland with an aim to promote equality and justice for migrant women living in Ireland by ensuring equal opportunities and access to resources in all aspects of society. AkiDwA applys a holistic approach to integration through four key strategies: Networking, the organisation holds at least six networking meetings every year, reaching more than 500 Women. Policy and Advocacy: work is informed by migrant women through consultation and research. Capacity building: Developing migrant women’s capacity for participation and representation by providing training on areas such as civic and democratic participation-voters registration, personal development and life skills. We work closely with a wide range number of organisations which includes End FGM network, Belgium, National Women’s Council of Ireland or European network of migrant women, various government departments and agencies.
